Overland Park – Despite the overwhelming unpopularity of the recently passed healthcare bill, Stephene Moore is calling on Obamacare Director, Kathleen Sebelius, to help her raise money.  In a move lockstep with the current Democrat majority, Sebelius will be coming to Topeka this Friday evening in an attempt to keep the 3rd District in liberal hands.

Moore is a supporter of Obamacare despite evidence that it will wreck the U.S. economy and despite the fact that 60% of Americans  want the law repealed.

Voters have expressed their concerns regarding Obamacare for good reason.  Sebelius and Moore’s Obamacare will have toxic ramifications for the families, small businesses and seniors of the 3rd District. Under Obamacare, Kansas employers could face penalties of $2,000 per worker for not offering the government mandated coverage.  With Obamacare, the average insurance premiums for those who buy their own insurance would go up by 17 percent.  The bill contains approximately $500 billion in cuts to Medicare, a devastating blow to seniors.

“Kathleen Sebelius’ fundraiser is proof positive that, if elected, Stephene Moore will act as a rubber stamp for the liberal policies of Nancy Pelosi,” said Travis Smith, Yoder for Congress Campaign Manager. “Obamacare will hurt the small businesses, families and seniors in the 3rd District who are already struggling to make ends meet.  Mrs. Moore is continuing the pattern of turning a deaf ear to the struggles and concerns of seniors and small businesses of the 3rd District.  First it was Barney Frank holding a fundraiser for Mrs. Moore, now Kathleen Sebelius.  It will be interesting to see what Washington liberal leader will raise money for this so-called moderate candidate’s campaign.  The voters of the 3rd District deserve someone who represents their interests, not the interests of Washington liberals.”
