No Moore Finance Report; Fundraiser with Frank a Flop
Overland Park-According to an invitation put out by the Moore campaign, Stephene Moore held a fundraising event in Washington D.C. at a private residence on Tuesday evening, July 20th. As detailed on the invitation, the event was hosted by Financial Services Chairman, Rep. Barney Frank.
According to Federal Election law, any campaign contributions in excess of $1,000.00 received within twenty days of an election must be reported to the Federal Election Commission within 48 hours of collection. According to the FEC, as of 9am on July 27, the Moore campaign has only filed one 48 hour report indicating receipt of contributions dated July 23rd, 2010. Either Moore did not receive any contribution over $1,000.00 on July 20th, or she has broken the law and failed to comply with FEC reporting requirements.
“One can only assume that Moore’s fundraiser in DC with a ‘rockstar’ of the far-left such as Barney Frank would be a huge success for her- so it’s curious she hasn’t reported any checks,” said Travis Smith, Yoder for Congress Campaign Manager. “The bigger question is why would she ask such an extreme liberal to help her raise cash when she says she’s a Blue Dog Democrat. The truth is that Stephene Moore is showing her true colors and showing us just the kind of member she would be: Say one thing in Kansas, do another in Washington.”
